SUMMIT
TRADE
Bush is meeting in Argentina, with 31 leaders of Latin America and the Caribbean Islands for a trade summit. Bush would like to expand NAFTA to cover from Alaska to Argentina and maybe some day rival the European Union as the largest zone. The new agreement will be called Free Trade Area of the Americas.
But there are those in the Latin American countries that think such a thing would enslave the poor people of those countries to big American corperations. Bush believes that it will help raise them out of poverty and employ those who are not working now.
So far the biggest suporter for the agreement is Mexico's President, Foxx.
