Another one of Bush's long time friends is heading up another project, sure to cost the gov't lots of money and line the pockets of those associated with the GOP. Bush named Donald E. Powell, the chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Commission, to head up the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast Region.

Back in 1990s, Bush named Powell to the Board of Regents at Texas A&M University and in return, Powell was one of the leading fund raisers of Bush's 2000 campaign for President. I wonder what this appointment will get Bush.
