NEW ORLEANS REBUILDING

HOUSING

New Orleans is trying to rebuild, but it's going to be a slow process. Had FEMA brought all those hundreds of trailers that they have to the New Orleans area, then maybe people who want to work in New Orleans would have a place to stay.

They promise that the levees will be strengthened to withstand a category 5 hurricane but they can't say when and how that will be done. Or what they plan to do with the 9th ward. Some say its pointless to rebuild it.

This was just one major city destroyed by a hurricane, can you imagine if we had to deal with the same kind of terrorist acts that they have in the Middle East? We would be paralyzed.

It's going to take a long time to rebuild New Orleans, but there are signs that it will come back, as long as they can ensure that the levees will hold, people will come back. That should be the number one priority to restore confidence.
