FBI DISCIPLINES AGENT

9/11

FBI agent Richard B. Marx spent over a year sifting through the debris from the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, searching for evidence as well as human remains and for all his tireless effort, he received a disciplinary letter barring him from testifying in court about any evidence, and from him collecting evidence.

Investigators thought that Marx was less than truthfully when questioned about evidence taken from the "fresh kills site" where they debris was sent to be sifted through. It turned out that those items that were missing were sent to museums across the country and to FBI Headquarters, all on the authority of Congress.
