Dennis Dechaine was convicted 16 yrs ago for the kidnap and murder of 12 yr old Sarah Cherry. Although there were no forensic evidence to connect him to the murder, he was seen coming from the same woods where Sarah Cherry's body was found. Those who are advocates for his release has managed to get some police records released, especially notes taken during Dechaine's interrogation, which contained a lot of cross outs and corrections, casting doubt as to whether he confessed or not.
