Well, if the Extreme Right thinks Catholics are going to hell, what about the radical left? you know, the ones who love the Muslim Holy book and want to take away all of our religious freedoms including Catholics? Who do you think has been attacking the Catholic church and pushing the whole priests are evil mantra? Every group is going to have its pitfalls, no one is excluded, but when religious groups mess up, it is trumpeted from the mountains that religion is evil, with the exception of the muslim faith, because we all know it is the religion of peace (my ass)

More wars and more people have died in the name of religion than just about any other reason.

There were the Crusades to the Middle East. There was the "Spanish Inquistion", "Bloody Mary" Mary Queen of Scotts, all condemed people to death because they wouldn't convert to the Ruling party's beliefs. I don't believe too many religions are immune to having some violence in their pasts against non supporters.
