I have to agree with him in that point. Take away all the "bling" and status symbols, you stop a lot of violence. If everyone has to dress the same, then no one person stands out and commands attention. Why do you think the military have their soldiers dress alike, because everyone is the same. Take away their status symbols they are just another face in the crowd.

I say take away their infernal cell phones and Ipods. Uniforms are a good idea except the clothing industry uses those areas where uniforms are required to jack up prices.
