NEW YORK TIMES REPORTER

SOURCE

New York Times reporter, Judith Miller was released from jail once she agreed to testify about her source for her article on Valerie Plame, A CIA operative and wife to a US Senator. Miller agreed to testify once she received a release from her source that she no longer needed to protect his identity. And her source turned out to be I. Lewis Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff. It was long believed that the source was Karl Rove.

It was through conversations with Libby that Miller learned about a former ambassador, whose wife arranged for him to make a trip to Africa to investigate whether Iraq had tried to obtain nuclear material. Mr. Libby claimed he did not know her name or her position in the CIA.
