What I can't figure out is why it's taken over two years to train these Iragian soldiers. We turn out our recuits in two months. It's a boondoggle over there, any way you look at it so I guess even the Iraqian guys now know what SNAFU stands for.

The problem is Rumsfeld made the mistake when Baghdad fell, they let the Republican Guard to walk away with their weapons instead of trying to retaining and trying to retrain them. There is no Officer Corps right now in Iraq. They are actually training the Iraqis backward I would think, they need leaders before they have soldiers. They have soldiers and the only leaders they have are the Americans.
