SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE

JUSTICE

Okay, I have one major problem with this article, she was born and raised a Catholic then later was baptized an evangelical Christian? In case you all don't know, Catholics are Christians!!! Yes, we believe in Jesus Christ, so why was the change so necessary for her to feel whole?

Secondly, there is supposed to be a separation of Church and State, so no matter what your beliefs are, once you are on that bench, you decide based on laws, not religious beliefs.

Unfortunately like many other cradle Catholics, her parents never passed on the Faith to her outside of attending Mass. They didn't take the time to teach her the Catechism, educate her on Catholic traditions, and talked to her about Catholicism in general. They probably just went and stood in Mass and went through the motions without understanding nor teaching her what is going on. I'm not saying ALL Catholics are lapse, I'm just saying that many Catholic parents don't take the responsibility of passing on the Faith. Hoping the public school or only attending Mass is sufficient enough.

Are you sponsoring or actually going through the process itself? Seems kind of odd for someone in the KoC, no offense.

Actually going thru. This will be my third time. My wife and I as well as others do it as a refresher. RCIA is not just for people wanting to become Catholic. It is also for people wanting to learn about us.

Matter of fact last night was the first class. There were two elderly men there that are best friends, one was catholic and the other is Methodist. The Catholic guy has 5 grand children attending Methodist church and the the Methodist has 6 children attending a Catholic church.

Our priests has issued an open invitation to anyone that wants to learn about us.

It is a great thing he does....

Anyone who thinks this country is NOT in trouble when she takes her seat on the Surprise Court should remember she now "walks that walk, talks that talk" and I'm not talking about be-bop. We are nearing the end of church/government seperation in this country. And Lord have mercy on those of us who aren't Evangelical.
