KILLEN

Edgar Ray Killen, one of the men who, in 1964 Mississippi, who was responsible for the disappearance and death of three young men who came to Philadelphia, MS to investigate a church that was rumored to have been burned down by Klan members.

Killen was out on bail because his health was supposed to be so bad, he needed a wheelchair and couldn't even raise his right hand to take the oath before testifying in court. Since his release on bail, he's been seen driving around town, filling up his car with gas and doing several errands, without the use of a wheelchair. So the Judge ordered Killen back to prison.

It was those murders that were the basis of the movie, "Mississippi Burning."
