EQUAL JUSTICE

A former US Marshal was convicted of "involuntary manslaughter" and "committing a felony with a hnadgun" after shooting a Navy seamen following an arguement in a shopping center. Arthur L. Lloyd, 54, claim that officers like him have become skittish after 9/11/01, and after Seaman Ryan T. Stowers, 20, screamed a few profanities and racial slurs, felt that his life was in danger and drew his gun.

this infuriates me, he probably got a lighter charge because he was an ex US Marshall.

I would assume the Government again protecting one of it's own thugs....

I think the nature of a U.S. Marshall's job drives them all toward a little, and sometimes a lot, of paranoia. This particular incident is new to me..do you have a source you could post? I'd like to read the whole story.
