NJ JUDGES

RE-ELECTION

In New Jersey, they are having an unusual situation. Two Justices from their state Supreme Court are having to campaign to keep their seat on the bench. It's unusual because they normally don't have to campaign, they are usually automatically re-elected.

But, this time the voters are upset with the legislators for voting themselves and the governor a pay raise. And since none of them are running this year, the voters are taking out their frustrations on the two State Supreme Court Justices that are running.

Now, they run un-opposed, so if the voters don't re-elect them, the Governor has to appoint to people to take their place on the bench.
