In one of the largest operations in months, American forces along with 1000 Iraqi soldiers are attacking another of those border towns along the Syrian border. They hope that they can stem the tide of insurgents before the December elections in Iraq.
Its the largest contingency of Iraqi soldier to take part in such operations with the American forces.
