BAD SIGN FOR REPUBLICANS

ELECTION RESULTS

In several state level elections, Republicans lost to the Democrats, even in Virginia where Bush made a last minute stop in support for Jerry W. Kilgore. Some believe it was that last minute stop by Bush that ensured that Lt. Gov. Timothy M. Kaine won the election.

This could be an omen for the Republicans for the 2008 elections. With the war in Iraq, record energy cost, the Valerie Plame leak scandal, Tom DeLay's indictments, all are taking their toll on the Republicans. There may be a power shift in the coming elections.
