CHANCELLOR WAR

In Germany, there has been a battle for leadership in Germany since September when Angela Merkel and Social-Democratic incumbent, Gerhard Schröder both claimed that they won the election. Now they have brokered an agreement, Schröder will step aside and let Merkel take over as Chancellor but Schröder's political party will stay in power. Can you imagine Bush stepping aside and letting a Democrat take over but then the Republicans keeping their majority in both houses? Never going to happen.
