ASIAN EARTHQUAKE

And guess who was first on the scene with aid? And guess who was first on the scene with aid in the Guatemala mudslide. And guess who was never on the scene after Katrina did her thing? With all our ills, the one thing no other country can say is we Americans don't have heart.

You're right. The United States is always there for every disaster, no matter where it occurs. One thing that was over looked after Katrina was, we got offers for aid from countries that for the most part, couldn't care less about what happens here in the US, but they did send money, which was a shock.

France, of all countries, still owes us for our help in their independence, for saving them during WW I, and in WW II. So, to get some money from the after Katrina was a shock.

natural disasters are on the rise since last christmas....

what's next?

They've been on the rise for the last few years. For those who saw the movie "Day after Tomorrow" it might have made you think. But one thing that all the scientist keep forgetting, is that the earth has went through cycles for millions of years. They talk about global warming and what could happen. That global warming is caused by pollution. Okay, think about this, if we could drastically cut pollution, even if the earth keeps warming, what happens to something thats 2/3s water? The water would evaporate into the air, increasing humidity, which later builds into rain, which washes the air clean. If given the chance, the earth can heal itsself. If all the ash and debris from volcano eruptions had stayed in the air all this time, we would never see the sun, but the air cleans itself through rain. All these major hurricanes, they have been washing the atmosphere clean of polution. We just have to stop polluting.
