OIL PROFITS-CONTINUED

The Democrats do not want to solve any problems, just prolong them. Wthout anything to bitch about, they have no purpose
Maybe so, but what they are bitching about effects a great number of the poor and disadvantaged people, something they had forgotten about for a while. It used to be Republicans were "BIG BUSINESS" and the Democrats were for the little guy, but the last two elections the Democrats have gotten away from those core beliefs.
Now, these possible oil profits from the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge will benefit the federal government and the oil companies but at what cost? What about the evironment? Clinton during his administration had strengthened the "Clear Air" Act but since Bush as gotten in office those plans have been rolled back. If something isn't done, soon the earth will look like the moon, barren, no life. In the last 100 years, we have lost over 1,000 species of animals, never to be heard from again. If we aren't careful, we will go the way of the Neanderthal, gone, never to be heard from again.

Both parties know that the middle class has always been the buffer between the elites and the poor. The problem is that buffer is slowly eroding as the middle class gets squeezed out and when that buffer becomes too weak then the poor and the middle class join to revolt against the elitists (the one percent who control the money/big oil, big government and profiteering corporations). In their haste to control the world, the ultra-conservatives usurp and/or underfund ALL social programs and there is where the main difference between the parties lie. Big Money Democrats (the money lies on both sides of the elitist fence) are smart enough to know this historical fact. Republicans only view history as what manipulations worked and what didn't.
