CRISIS IN THE SOUTHEAST

I think a lot of the blame should also be put on the educational system. Why, especially in this day and age, aren't they teaching survival skills?

Well, because we are still trying to catch up with the world on reading writing and math skills. BUT, the city leaders should do some kind of emergency preparedness drills. They do them here at the Air Force bases, such as an air plane crash. Coastal areas should have evacuation drills.

Good point. The number one survival tip should be, Government will not save you.

Now it shouldn't have to come to that, I mean this society is supposed to be a patriarchal, meaning the gov't acts like our parents in times of crisis, looking out for us. This didn't happen with Hurricane Katrina.
