SAW THIS COMING FROM A MILE AWAY

BRYANT CASE

I don't know about any of you, but once the judge allowed the victim's panties and sexual history come in as evidence in the Kobe Bryant case. Unlike criminal court which requires "beyond reasonable doubt", civil court only requires a "preponderance of evidence" meaning enough evidence that makes it seem likely he did it. Just as in the O.J. Simpson case, he was aquitted in criminal court, but found guitly in civil. The penalties are different too. In Criminal court, the result could be jail or prison time. In civil, it is monetary penalties, which it has been alleged was the motive for the victim claiming she was raped.
