NEW OVERTIME REGULATIONS

OVERTIME

If you read the list of those that are exempt, those are the ones that consistantly work overtime. So, I can see how

it might help but, there are some under the $100,000 that will end up working more hours to cover the jobs the

others had. I know when I worked at Home Depot, the managers and assistant managers got paid straight salary, no

mater what hours they put in, so they would get the hourly wage earners to work more hours to cover the jobs the

managers couldn't, like supervising product resets, which some vendors spent all night doing resets. Then the

managers wanted you to cut your overtime hours before the end of the pay period, meaning your dept always ended up

short handed during customer service hours. Just more work for the low man on the totem pole.
